If you’re looking for an epic location in Southern Utah, Dead Horse Point is one of the best spots to do it. This bridal session was scenic, gorgeous, and should be on everyones radar who wants to do a photo session with sweeping views in Southern Utah.

Why you should do a bridal or wedding session at Dead Horse Point

Don’t be discouraged by the name — this is an amazing place to do a session and as soon as you see the views, you’ll fall in love too. Calvan showed up in a classic black suit that contrasted perfectly against Caitlin’s intricate lace dress. Their classic wedding look contrasted perfectly against the red rocks that Moab is so famous for. In the distance, you can see the Colorado river snaking through the valley below, which makes for some incredible photos. And of course, snow capped mountains even further in the distance to provide some gorgeous color contrasts.

Even though the entirety of the park is pretty, the scenic overlook has the best views of red rocks, and mountains. While there’s a lot of amazing places to do your wedding day portraits in Moab, Dead Horse Point is definitely among my favorites for a reason.

Final Thoughts on this Bridal Session

If you want to have some seriously stunning photos for any type of session – bridals, engagement photos for save the dates – don’t sleep on Dead Horse Point. It manages to be both unassuming, as well as intimate. I like to find locations for my clients that feel luxurious as well as private and this provides all of that.
