There are certain types of venues that are a dream for a wedding photographer and videographer. Cactus and Tropicals is a greenhouse wedding venue here in Utah that has the loveliest light! There is a location in Salt Lake City and Draper, and both are so gorgeous. Rob and Jessika’s Cactus and Tropicals wedding video had perfect window light throughout the whole day. Greenhouse wedding venues are unique in that they even have great light into the night for flash and video lights during dancing and other evening events.
Rob and Jessika’s wedding day started out at their home in Sugarhouse where we captured the bride and groom getting ready. The groom started playing the piano while he anxiously waited for his bride. It was so sweet so we decided to film it and include those moments at the beginning of their wedding video. I loved that the couple chose to start the day in their own space. It felt so personal and intimate.
This lovely couple met on a dating app. Jessika is from Brazil and Rob is from Utah. She thought he seemed really cool and handsome. Their first meeting revealed that there was much more to him than she expected. Rob is very intelligent and well-rounded, and he has a nerdy and quirky side as well. It’s easy to see why the two of them love each other so much. They are both wonderful people beloved by all of their family members and friends. Everyone had a great time celebrating the couple and dancing into the night.
The florals on this wedding day were especially beautiful! Every corner was filled with greenery and flowers from the tables to the aisles of potted plants. One of the best things about choosing a wedding location like Cactus and Tropicals is that a greenhouse venue is already decorated for you. You get a gorgeous space with flowers everywhere without having to spend a lot on decor. That combined with the light makes Cactus and Tropicals one of my favorite places for a beautiful wedding celebration.
