Destination wedding photography has my heart more than just about anything else. However, every so often I get to photograph something here in Utah that reminds me of why I’m lucky to call this place home. A new wedding venue recently opened up in Lindon, which is down in the center of Utah County near Mount Timpanogos. I was lucky enough to be the first photographer to shoot at this venue, and it totally blew me away! Walker Farms weddings will take place in a newly built modern barn with all-white everything. The gorgeous space is open and airy and filled with natural light. It’s also a little bit European-inspired, which makes it right up my alley. Basically, it’s a photographer’s dream! I sincerely wish every day could start and end with a Walker Farms wedding.
This styled shoot was created to serve as inspiration for brides and grooms planning a Walker Farms wedding to showcase what this beautiful wedding venue has to offer. The venue owner and other vendors that participated wanted a very elegant and fine art feel with pastel colors and unique, old world details to compliment the historic architecture of the building. All Walker Farms wedding couples have access to their beautiful bridal suite and groom’s room. I really wanted to showcase the bridal suite in particular.
I was so excited to get to work with Emily of the Freckled Fox and her husband, Richard. They are some of the loveliest people I have ever met. The two of them were so gracious and incredibly sweet together. Not to mention, they are an insanely good-looking couple. It was a pleasure to work with them.
We kept the details of this wedding inspiration shoot pretty simple but lovely. The color palette of light blue, peach, white and orange felt timeless and whimsical. The vessel for the table centerpiece felt special, like an heirloom passed down through the generations. The delicate white tarts were reminiscent of a European pastry shop. I especially loved the bride’s red hair with her intricate lace wedding dress. I can’t wait until I get to visit this venue again and photograph my first real Walker Farms wedding!
