This beautiful and emotional Elopement at The Lodge at Blue Sky was seriously one of my favorite events I photographed in 2020. When my couples original wedding plans were squashed by COVID, they decided to have an intimate and upscale Elopement in Utah. It was such an honor to help them plan their dream elopement and to photograph such a beautiful and chic elopement. I love this modern event venue and the way it can be played up to be elegant. This couple originally met at Medical School and are both practicing physicians, which was very special.. Their love for each other was seriously palpable too.
Elopement at The Lodge at Blue Sky
This is a new venue for me to work at, and I can’t wait to go back. It is a high-end hotel nestled away in the mountains with sweeping views for days. It was perfect for this beautiful little wedding and the intimate vibes really elevated the atmosphere. Their first look was full of tears and hugs, and their ceremony was equally touching. I would photograph this elopement over and over again. Resort weddings are always a recommendation to my couples because not only can it be gorgeous like this elopement, but you can stay there overnight to make it that much more special. I’m a sucker for modern venues, and this was a seriously luxurious venue. I love venues that really mean things to my couples, too.
The little details
I love when my couples include special little details. This couple did not disappoint! They had adorable little charcuterie boards and a romantic dinner to elevate their event. It was the perfect way to end their wedding day. It’s also extra special to me because as an elopement, I’m always honored to be the one to be the witness to peoples weddings and officially sign documents. I absolutely love my job and all the wonderful couples I get to work with. This couple was no exception.
Final thoughts
I would recommend this couple to any of my couples that want a modern and luxurious wedding venue. The overlook that this couple said their nuptials. I of course love the sweeping vista views. This venue is perfect for ceremonies of all sizes, too! While I loved photographing an elopement here, I think a wedding would be really gorgeous here too. It’s perfect to capture bright and airy vibes.And of course, lots of green and lush surrounding nature. It also has a nice indoor space which is perfect if you want an indoor/outdoor wedding.
