The more I explore my home state, the more amazed I am by the variety of landscapes and scenery we have here! Today, I’ll be sharing engagement photos taken at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes in the deserts of Central Utah. This location provides a very unique and intimate setting with the most stunning, golden sunsets!
Rylee and Adam put a lot of thought into the outfits they chose for their engagement session. I think their choices looked great and really complimented the environment. Rylee wanted to incorporate the natural color palette of Little Sahara into their wardrobe. She wore a long, flowy dress for a romantic feel and brought in the neutral colors of beige, brown and navy blue that really popped against the austere landscape.
The couple were looking to really showcase Utah’s nature into their engagement session. They particularly loved the desert look of Southern Utah, but we didn’t want to drive such a long way to shoot in the red rocks. The Little Sahara Sand Dunes are only about an hour away from Provo so it was a great middle ground. This place holds a special place in the bride-to-be’s heart because she and her family used to camp at the sand dunes when she was a kid. My only advice for brides and grooms at this location is to beware of the wind! It can really pick up the sand and blow it into your eyes when it gets going! However, I can guarantee it will be worth every second.
