Provo Canyon Wildflowers

Spectacular mountain views combined with the yearly bloom of wildflowers makes Provo Canyon one of my top picks for photo locations in Utah Valley! When the meadow is in bloom you’ll find gorgeous sego lilies and mountain sunflowers in every direction. It is a wondrous sight to behold with several different trails all offering their own unique blooms.

Who It’s For | Playful couples who want to add a touch of whimsy to their photo experience.

Visiting | Summer is the best time to visit to enjoy the full experience of the wildflowers for your photos in Utah Valley! However, we have a very short window of time to take advantage of, with July and August being the best months for visiting. It’s also important to mention that a short hike will be part of our photo shoot at the Wildflowers.

Fees | There are two sets of fees for visiting Provo Canyon Summer April – October and winter, November – March. The summer rates are $20 per vehicle or $5 per person to walk in. The winter rates are $10 per vehicle or $4 per person to walk in.

Getting There | From Interstate 15 Take Exit 284 in the Highland/Lehi area. Head east on State Route 92 to American Fork Canyon, where you’ll pay a $3 toll.

Parking | Depending on where we choose to access the wildflowers, there are several places to park. I can discuss the best options with you when we schedule your session.

Scheduling Your Engagement Photos at Provo Canyon During Wildflower Season

If you can, scheduling your engagement photos in July or August is highly recommended. Provo Canyon is still just as beautiful before and after the wildflowers, but there is something truly memorable about engagement photos at Provo Canyon surrounded by wildflowers. As far as this list of photo locations in Utah Valley, this location is one that takes delicate planning. Tibble Fork

A delicate creek surrounded by verdant greenery and mountain views, Tibble Fork has idyllic scenery all year round! Nestled in the scenic Wasatch Mountains Tibble Fork overlooks the glittering Silver Lake.

Who It’s For | Looking for those quintessential views of the canyon during your engagement photos or wedding portraits? Tibble Fork is one of the most amazing photo locations in Utah Valley for embodying the magic!

Visiting | The drive to Tibble Fork Reservoir is an adventure in itself! You’ll get full views of the canyon before arriving at our destination. Tibble Fork is a hotspot for outdoor recreational activities, but there are plenty of hidden gem locations for us to work on your photography experience.

Fees | There is a $6 fee due in order to access the road leading to the canyon. However, if you have a National Parks Pass, the cost will be covered by your pass.

Getting There | To get there, take the Alpine-Highland to exit 284. Stay on Hwy 92 and turn left at North Fork junction in American Fork Canyon.

Parking | There is ample parking by the granite Flat Campground and Tibble Fork Reservoir. However, where we park will depend on what we have planned for your session and we can discuss this during your consultation.
