It was a blustery day for this wedding at The Lodge at Blue Sky. But with ethereal vibes and an equestrian bride, no amount of wind could detract from the whimsy of this wedding as it unfolded.

My beautiful bride spent much of her childhood riding horses. With her equestrian background, she knew that her wedding day had to include a nod to her beloved pastime. To that end, it was clear that the only way to make her grand entrance to her wedding ceremony at The Lodge at Blue Sky was on horseback. Not only was her steed available for her grand entrance, but also a fabulous companion for the bride and groom’s wedding portraits. The mountains and sprawling landscape of their wedding venue, The Lodge at Blue Sky, presented a unique opportunity for an ethereal bride to pay homage to her equestrian legacy.

The Lodge at Blue Sky is an all-inclusive wedding venue tucked away in the splendor of the Utah mountains. Many couples, local and far & away, select The Lodge at Blue Sky to host their wedding day due to its unique indoor and outdoor landscape, paired with the ability to say I do with a secluded mountain setting to set the scene.

For my bride and groom, romantic tones heavily influenced their unforgettable wedding day. The bride wore a fairytale gown with off-the-shoulder flounce sleeves, a corseted top, and flowing layers of billowy skirting. The gown was romantic and modern with the layers of skirting providing soft textured movement throughout the day. Her hair was fixed in a long loose braid, with fresh florals accenting her tresses. The groom was well dressed in a tailored three-piece suit, in a tone of muted salmon, with a colorful boutonniere to blend with their wedding day florals.

Wild Earth Designs created bountiful floral arrangements for the couple in complimenting tones of light blue, creamy orange, and soft white. Lush floral arrangments lined the aisle next to the guest’s seating, leading the way to the ceremony nest. The soft and creamy tones of the florals worked to enhance the natural backdrop of The Lodge at Blue Sky while lending to the romantic and ethereal experience.

My bride and groom opted to exchange personal vows prior to their wedding ceremony. With their wedding ceremony underway, one special detail had yet to emerge. During their ring exchange, their sweet fur baby sauntered down the aisle to deliver their wedding bands. Altogether, key moments of this wedding day complimented the couple’s personalities and the life they have created together.
