A few weeks ago, I shared photos from a high-fashion editorial shoot that I had the pleasure of styling and photographing in Paris. You can check those out here. Today, I’m excited to share the wedding video I created for the shoot!

Like the photos, I wanted this video to have a very high-fashion, fine art feel. We chose modern bridal separates for our wedding dress to keep the shoot feeling fashion forward. You will see that we played a lot with the movement of the dress in the video to create extra drama. The music selection is a little bit classical and a little bit modern. The combination will always remind me of Paris.

Our “bride” is a Russian-born beauty who currently lives in France. The creative team and I got up at the crack of dawn to start shooting! We wanted to visit some of the popular tourist destinations during our shoot such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. Waking up very early was essential to minimize any people appearing in the background of the photos and video. Although it doesn’t show on camera, we were freezing! Luckily, there were cafes nearby for us to stop into and warm up with hot chocolate and French pastries.

The scenes of the bride in the cherry blossoms were shot right outside Notre Dame Cathedral. As I mentioned in my previous post with the photos from this shoot, the fire that burned down most of the cathedral happened just two days after we visited! I consider it a privilege that I got to see the building in its original state before it was destroyed. This video will always be special to me.
