Jessica and Brennan are married. Their beautiful wedding day began at Draper temple with a sacred sealing and ended with a ring exchange and reception celebration.

Draper Temple Wedding

Located in the heart of the city, Draper Temple is a beautiful location for your sealing ceremony. Typically, when it comes to temple weddings, I work with my couples to capture their portraits on the grounds of their temple once their sealing is complete. However, oftentimes, we are limited in where we can shoot on temple grounds. This is typically because of obstructions such as parking lots in the backdrop. But with Draper Temple, the possibilities for wedding photography are endless. The temple is stunning from every angle with beautiful foliage, towering trees, ample sunlight, and ornate architectural details. Additionally, we have the ability to capture portraits with the entire facade of the temple in the backdrop.

Are you planning a temple sealing? You may be wondering how to schedule your photography experience on the grounds of your temple. Having grown up Mormon, and having worked with countless local couples on their temple wedding photography, I can provide you with a quick breakdown of the process for capturing your photos. This timeline will provide you with an overview of what to expect after you exit the temple doors. It will also allow you to seamlessly plan your ring exchange and reception celebration.

1. Your Sealing Time

Your temple will provide you with your sealing time in advance. You can expect to exit the temple one hour after this time.

Total time | 1 hour

2. The Temple Exit

Everyone knows it’s all about the exit! Once you exit the temple doors, your family and friends will be awaiting your arrival, as will your photographer. It’s time for cheers, applause, congratulations, and a round of hugs.

Total time | 5-15 minutes

3. Family Photos

We’ll start your photography experience by capturing photos of you with your family. The breathtaking steps of the temple are the perfect location for organizing everyone as a group and then into different pairings.

Total time | 30 minutes

4. Wedding Party

Your bridesmaids and groomsmen are dying to celebrate with you! They’ve dressed the part and they are ready to stand by your side. After your family photos, your wedding party is next. We will move to multiple locations on the grounds for group photos as well as individual photos of you with each person in your wedding party.

Total time | 20 minutes

5. Bride & Groom

You’ll have a window of time after your family, friends, and wedding party head off to the next part of your temple wedding celebration. This will allow us the time we need to capture wedding portraits. We will explore different areas of the temple lawn, creating unforgettable portraits of your best day ever.

Total time | 20 minutes
